Children's Sunday School


As always, Sunday School for children from ages 3 through 6th grade is held from 10-10:40 in the Children's Ministry Room in the church office building.  We have lessons and crafts and fellowship.  All children are invited and welcome.  Late service attendees will be escorted in to their parents in the sanctuary after Sunday School is over.  If you have comments or suggestions for the Sunday School program, please call Julie @ 287-3457 or leave them in my mailbox in the office.  Thanks!

 

 

 

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

 & Mardi Gras Party

The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner and Festivities were a lot of fun for all!  We ate loads of pancakes (and even a couple of "mancakes" - the supersized version), played Mardi Gras games, made masks, learned a lot about Shrove Tuesday, and definitely ate up all the fats before Lent started on Wednesday.  Thank you to the Kleins and the Hayes for taking on cleanup duty, to Janet McQuillan for bringing the delicious ham, to Paul Werfelmann for making the pancakes, and to Jennifer Wilk for creating the King Cake.  Congratulations to Judy Smith's Aunt Colleen on finding the Baby Jesus in her piece of King Cake.  We expect her back next year to start off our party!

 

 

Wii Night Coming Soon!

We are planning another Wii night in the Community Center on Sunday,

March 21st from 5-7 p.m.  We will be serving dinner once again,

 and then it's Tournament Time!  Even if you haven't played before,

 we encourage you to come on out for the food, fellowship, and fun!

  No experience is required; no age limits enforced; and all friends

and neighbors are welcome.  We hope to see you all there.

Campbell Soup Label Report

             

              We at GSLC saved 200 Campbell Soup Labels in the past 15 months. They have been sent to the Good Shepherd Auxiliary

collection place in Santa Cruz for the CA-NU North unit.

              Thank you everyone who saved their Campbell labels and placed them in the “collection bag”

in Jacobson Hall kitchen (behind the T.V.)

Remember to include the UPC code with the label!

Box Tops for Education
We will be collecting Box Tops for Education from General Mills, Zip Lock &

 all products for Roeding Elementary.  This is a simple way we can help raise

money for our adopted school by simply removing the tops from items we are

already purchasing.  A labeled box can be found in the narthex in which to deposit

the box tops you've clipped.  A big thanks to Penny Fey for coming up with this great idea!
