The Parish Nurses announce monthly FREE blood pressure checks between
church services at 10 am in Jacobson Hall each first Sunday of the month.

Every Friday at 12 noon to 1:00 pm in the Parish house conference room. Come join us!

Sunday mornings at 9:00 am (Bible Study I) in the Conference room &
10:30 am (Bible Study II) in the Conference room (or the Parish house patio, weather permitting).

The nine o’clock Sunday morning adult bible study topic “Maturing in Christ” will be completed on June 15, 2008.

 The Schedule for the remaining lessons is:

 Servant hood – The Attitude of Christ - Page 1633 ….. . Sunday, June 1st.

 Called to Be Witnesses - Called to be change agents - Page 1609…. Sunday, June 15th.

 There will be no class on June 8th.

 The beginning of the 2008 fall 9 AM adult bible study class will be announced in August.

Our Food Pantry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is truly blessed
by the kind food donations received from our congregation recently.
Needy clients referred to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church by LOVE In the Name of Christ
 will benefit by these food donations and loving our neighbors as ourselves will glorify God’s holy name.
 32 children, 1 infant and 44 adults were recipients of God's love through the Food Pantry in 2007. Bless you!

GSLC Food Pantry Items:

Nothing is needed at the present time. I apologize for not communicating our food pantry needs.  Good Shepherd is but one of 260 Christian church food pantries in Fresno. Also, we are a medium church with a food pantry, not a food bank. Fresno County has one food bank in a large warehouse serving the hungry in Fresno County. Please don’t overwhelm our food pantry with one person donating 80 large boxes of dry milk, another person donating 60 boxes of pancake mix, another person donating 60 boxes of saltine crackers, or another person donating 500 cans of vegetables. Your generosity is abundant. Thank you. Again, discernment & discretion are two admirable traits that can sometimes be overwhelmed by the great gift of generosity to the world’s poor. Please inspect our food pantry before you shop. Our food pantry is located in the Jacobson Hall storage room. On average, one family is helped with food per week at Good Shepherd. Mealy bugs quickly invade pancake mix, etc. Canned food should not be used after 3 years.

You can purchase flowers for the altar on a Sunday morning. 
The cost is $36.70 for these beautiful arrangements. 
You can take them home following the Traditional Worship service approximately 11:30 am.

for the Sunday church bulletin & flower color preference by the previous Wednesday. Thank you.
